7PRAISE THE LORD.  HOW GOOD IT IS TO SING PRAISES TO OUR GOD, HOW PLEASANT AND FITTING TO PRAISE HIM. PSALM 147:1PSALM 147:1
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

147 1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
*NIV

Why not attend the Church of your choice today, where you may join with others as they praise our Heavenly Father. After all, just think of all the blessings He has given to you, including His Love and saving Grace! So LET US GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HIS UNFAILING LOVE AND HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS FOR MEN. ( PSALM 107:8PSALM 107:8
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
)

King David best described this, for in a Psalm he gave to Asaph, for he wrote: SING TO THE LORD, ALL THE EARTH; PROCLAIM HIS SALVATION DAY AFTER DAY. DECLARE HIS GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS, HIS MARVELOUS DEEDS AMONG ALL PEOPLES. FOR GREAT IS THE LORD AND MOST WORTHY OF PRAISE; HE IS TO BE FEARED [revered} ABOVE ALL gods. ASCRIBE TO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME. BRING AN OFFERING AND COME BEFORE HIM; WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE SPLENDOR OF HIS HOLINESS. ( 1 CHRONICLES 16:23-251 CHRONICLES 16:23-25
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. 24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. 25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
& 29 )

So, why not worship the Lord in the splendor of His Holiness by attending your Church today. There you may GREET ONE ANOTHER WITH A HOLY KISS. For THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST GREET YOU. Amen! ( ROMANS 16:16ROMANS 16:16
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

22FOR WHAT PROFIT IS IT TO A MAN IF HE GAINS THE WHOLE  WORLD, AND IS HIMSELF DESTROYED OR LOST? LUKE 9:25LUKE 9:25
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
*NKJV

As you already know in this World today it is very easy to get caught up in our day to day life. We sometimes even seem to forget how short our human life is compared to our Eternal life! After all it is written: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? IT IS EVEN A VAPOR THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE TIME AND THEN VANISHES AWAY. ( JAMES 4:14JAMES 4:14
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. It...: or, For it is
)

We even see around us many people that are so consumed by the power of money that they have lost sight of what is really important!  FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS A ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL, FOR WHICH SOME HAVE STRAYED FROM THE FAITH IN THEIR GREEDINESS, AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS!  1 TIMOTHY 6:101 TIMOTHY 6:10
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. erred: or, been seduced
)  For their god has become the almighty dollar, pounds, naira, but when their life is over, all of their money can not another moment buy!

As Children of God, we have better life ahead of us! One with Our Savior Jesus Christ, and a life where GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM YOUR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY. ( REVELATION 21:4REVELATION 21:4
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
)

Therefore what a Blessing it is to be a Child of God! So the next time that you count all of your blessings, be sure to add that one as well!

Have a Wonderful Day, and  please do not forget to attend your Church next Sunday to Worship your Heavenly Father, and thank Him as well.   Amen.

rescueThe church’s pastor slowly stood up walked over to the pulpit and, before he gave his sermon for the evening, he briefly introduced a guest minister who was in the service that evening.

In the introduction, the pastor told the congregation that the guest minister was one of his dearest childhood friends and that he wanted him to have a few moments to greet the church and share whatever he felt would be appropriate for the service. With that, an elderly man stepped up to the pulpit and began to speak.

A father, his son, and a friend of his son were sailing off the pacific coast,’ he began.’  When a fast approaching storm blocked any attempt to get back to the shore. the waves were  so high, that even though the father was an experienced sailor, he could not keep the  boat upright and the  three were swept  into the ocean  as the boat capsized’. The old man hesitated for a moment, making eye contact with two teenagers who were, for the first time since the service began, looking somewhat interested in his story.

The aged minister continued with his story, ‘grabbing a rescue line, the father had to make the most excruciating decision of his life: to which boy would he throw the other end of the life line. He only had seconds to make the decision. The father knew that his son was a Christian and he, also, knew that his son’s friend was not. The agony of his decision could not be matched by the torrent of waves as the father yelled out, ‘I love you, son!’

He threw out the life line to his son’s friend. By the time the father had pulled the friend back to the capsized boat, his son had disappeared beneath the raging swells into the black of night. His body was never recovered. By this time, the two teenagers were sitting up straight in the pew, anxiously waiting for the next words to come out of the old minister’s mouth. ‘The father, he continued, ‘knew his son would step into eternity with Jesus and he could not bear  the thought  of  his  son’s friend  stepping  into  an eternity  without  Jesus..  Therefore, he sacrificed his son to save the son’s friend.  ‘How great is the love of god that he should do the same for us. Our heavenly father sacrificed his only begotten son that we could be saved. I urge you to accept His offer to rescue you and take a hold of the life line he is  throwing out to you in this service. With that, the old man turned and sat back down in his chair as silence filled the room.

The pastor again walked slowly to the pulpit and delivered a brief sermon with an invitation at the end. However, no one responded to the appeal. Within minutes after the service ended, the two teenagers were at the old man’s side. ‘T hat was a nice story,’ politely stated one of them’, but I don’t think it was very realistic for a father to give up his only son’s life in hopes that the other boy would become a Christian.’

Well, you’ve got a point there’, the old man replied, glancing down at his worn bible. A big smile broadened his narrow face. He once again looked up at the boys and said, ‘it sure isn’t very realistic, is it? But, I’m  standing  here  today  to tell  you  that  story  gives  me  a  glimpse  of what  it  must  have  been  like  for  god  to  give up  his  son  for  me.  You see…

I was that father and your pastor is my son’s friend.
Take 60 seconds and give this a shot. He’s waiting for you!

Have a wonderful day.

2009 welcomeWelcome to the year 2009 and: THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE; LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT! PSALM 118:24PSALM 118:24
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
*NKJV

Beloved, no matter all prayers prayed for you, they are awareness and confirmation of what the Lord has said about you. He has already defined you and He made you. You are a success and success ye shall be. 2009 welcomes you with JOY UNSPEAKABLE.

Have a wonderful and fulfilling year in Jesus name. Amen

A new year just beginning,
Each day a fresh, new start,
To fulfill your hopes
And pursue the dreams
Sustained within your heart.

Put God in charge;
He’ll plant the seeds
Of affection, love and care.
Like a garden, your life will grow
With kindness flowering there.

And as you face the wonder
Of each day’s mysteries,
You’ll see God’s hand
Unfolding, daily, possibilities!

And as each day comes to a close,
Dream a dream or two,
Then with a prayer thank dear God
For each day given to you.

28FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A CHILD IS GIVEN; AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE ON HIS SHOULDER, AND HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE  OF PEASE. ISAIAH 9:6ISAIAH 9:6
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
*NKJV

As we celebrate this day let us not lose sight of the first Christmas present ever given, that being God giving us His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, to dwell with us!

So let us not get lost in all the hustle and bustle of this time of year. Instead, let us be mindful of all our blessings, and share the Christmas Spirit with others. Remembering:

THE GREATEST Gift

The greatest gift at Christmas  time
Is one we all may give -

A friendly smile that helps to make
Life easier to live.

A kindly thought, a helping hand,
To show someone we care

And let them know how much it means
For us to have them here.

The greatest gift at Christmastime
Costs not a lot to buy -

It’s being a good neighbor
As days and months go by:

It’s offering a shoulder
When someone needs a lift,

And so I pray this Christmas Day
That this may be your gift!
Poet, Grace E. Easley

May you have a Very Merry Christmas, and a Wonderful New Year!
