Power Over The Pull Of Sin(Temptation).

NOW THE SERPENT WAS MORE CUNNING THAN ANY BEAST OF THE FIELD WHICH THE LORD HAD MADE. AND HE SAID TO THE WOMAN, “HAS GOD INDEED SAID, YOU SHALL NOT EAT OF EVERY TREE OF THE GARDEN? GENESIS 3:1 * NKJV

The serpent (satan) has been tempting mankind since the beginning of this earth age. Just as he tempted Adam and Eve, he tempts us as well! Therefore you must; BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR. 1 PETER 5:8

There are some things to note about temptation.

  1. Temptation is of the devil and not of God.
  2. Temptation itself is not the sin but sub-coming to it is the sin. BUT EACH ONE IS TEMPTED BY HIS LUSTS, BEING DRAWN AWAY AND SEDUCED BY THEM THEN WHEN LUST HAS CONCEIVED, IT BRINGS FORTH SIN. AND SIN, WHEN IT IS FULLY FORMED, BRINGS FORTH DEATH. JAMES 1:14-15
  3. God does not lead us so as to tempt us. Why would He want to do that?
  4. No temptation is irresistible. BUT WITH THE TEMPTATION WILL ALSO MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT. 1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

Now as Childern of God we have added protection for It is written; NO TEMPTATION HAS OVERTAKEN YOU EXCEPT SUCH AS IS COMMON TO MAN; BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL, WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, BUT WITH THE TEMPTATION WILL ALSO MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT. 1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

THEREFORE SUBMIT TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. For when you; DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU. JAMES 4:7-8

So, the next time satan tries to tempt you tell him to take a hike! For Jesus Christ gave you that power when He said; “BEHOLD, I GIVE YOU THE AUTHORITY TO TRAMPLE ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS, AND OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY, AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU.” LUKE 10:19-20

Now,

  1. Resist the tempter and submit yourself to God. THEREFORE SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO GOD. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. JAMES 4:7
  2. Be prayerful. A prayerless christian is a powerless chrictian. PRAYING ALWAYS WITH ALL PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION IN THE SPIRIT. EPH 6:18
  3. Read and study the word of God always. FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND POWERFUL AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD, PIERCING EVEN TO THE DIVIDING APART OF SOUL AND SPIRIT, AND OF THE JOINTS AND MARROW, AND IS A DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART. HEB 4:12

His Faithfulness To Your Tithing.

5AND THE HEAVENS SHALL PRAISE YOUR WONDERS, O JEHOVAH, YOUR FAITHFULNESS ALSO IN THE CONGREGATION OF THE SAINTS. PSALM 89:5 God will ever be faithful of His promises and words.

He said: BRING ALL THE TITHE INTO THE STOREHOUSE, SO THAT THERE MAY BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE. AND TEST ME NOW WITH THIS, SAYS JEHOVAH OF HOSTS, TO SEE IF I WILL NOT OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN FOR YOU, AND POUR OUT A BLESSING FOR YOU, UNTIL THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM. MALACHI 3:10

With my experience, His words are fulfilled in my life and they are source of inspiration to me. THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS. LAMENTATION 3:23

I recently had a manifestation of His word that says AND I WILL REBUKE YOUR DEVOURER, AND HE SHALL NOT DECAY THE FRUIT OF YOUR GROUND AGAINST YOU; NOR SHALL YOUR VINE MISCARRY AGAINST YOU IN THE FIELD, SAYS JEHOVAH OF HOSTS. MALACHI 3:11 . As a regular tither, God has been so faith to me in my financial life aspect.

In a nutshell my recent experience goes thus: I lost some money because someone stole it, and since God has said it in His word that HE WILL REBUKE EVERY OF MY DEVOURER. The person who stole it returned the money and apologized. I was happy not because I found the money, but because of His faithfulness, because of the manifestation of His words and because of His fulfillment. And I think this is a good exam of His word manifestation.

If you are faithful in your tithing, He will surely fulfill His promises. YOU SHALL TRULY TITHE ALL THE INCREASE OF YOUR SEED THAT THE FIELD BRINGS FORTH YEAR BY YEAR. DEUTERONOMY 14:22

My prayer is that we all will be faithful and THEREFORE, KNOW THAT JEHOVAH YOUR GOD, HE IS GOD, THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO KEEPS COVENANT AND MERCY WITH THEM THAT LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS. DEUTERONOMY 7:9
