Never lose hope when you pray.

12ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; SEEK, AND YOU WILL FIND; KNOCK, AND IT WILL BE OPENED TO YOU. LUKE 11:9-10LUKE 11:9-10
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Those are the words of our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus also said, "IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, YOU WILL ASK WHAT YOU DESIRE, AND IT SHALL BE DONE FOR YOU." JOHN 15:7JOHN 15:7
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Now these verses do not mean that everything we may ask for will be given to us, but do mean that if it is God's Will for us it will happen! After all we may ask for something that would hurt us in the end, for we have no way of knowing the future.

Therefore when you pray do not be afraid to ask God for something that you desire, knowing that He who knows all is looking out for you. For God has said: THEN YOU WILL CALL UPON ME AND COME AND PRAY TO ME, AND I WILL LISTEN TO YOU. YOU WILL SEEK ME AND FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART. JEREMIAH 29:12-13JEREMIAH 29:12-13
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Also do not think that God has abandoned you if a prayer isn't answered the way you want.  After all, in time, you may look back on that prayer request and say "Thank God, He Didn't Answer That One!"

Therefore, never lose hope when you pray for it is written, THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH.  ( JAMES 5:16JAMES 5:16
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

) So PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS. Amen. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-181 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

  1. I have often looked back on my life and given thanks to God for the prayers that He DIDN’T answer! I am so glad that He knows better than I do what I really need and what my heart truly desires. And I find comfort in the Scripture passage found in 1 John 4:14-15, which says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.” So basically, I am totally assured when I pray. If it is not His will, He will let it fall away. If it is His will, He hears me and will answer. As God’s child, I can’t lose!
