Enter the Sanctuary

Have you ever grumbled or complained about the apparent success of the ungodly?  Have you felt jealous of the wealth, the power and the prestige they display?  Have you wondered how it can be that some people have gained their wealth in a corrupt manner and selfishly hoard it while so many people are living in poverty and desperate need?

You are not the only one who has contemplated these questions.  A man named Asaph pondered these matters in Psalm 73.  "I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.  They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.  They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills... This is what the wicked are like - always carefree, they increase in wealth" (Ps. 73:3, 4-5, 12Ps. 73:3, 4-5, 12
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. firm: Heb. fat 5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. in...: Heb. in the trouble of other men like: Heb. with 12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

).  Asaph even questioned the benefits of maintaining his integrity and he lamented, "When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me" (Ps. 73:16Ps. 73:16
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; too...: Heb. labour in mine eyes

WP-Bible plugin
).

But then, instead of wallowing and complaining, Asaph did the right thing!  "I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny" (Ps. 73:17Ps. 73:17
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

).

It is only in the presence of God that we find peace of mind and gain divine understanding.

If you find yourself questioning things as Asaph did, it is probably a sign that you need to take more time out of your day to pray, meditate on God's Word and listen to His voice.  Then you can rest assured that the prosperity of the wicked will come to an end and you will say unto the Lord as Asaph did, "Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.  Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.  But as for me, it is good to be near God.  I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds" (Ps. 73:23-28Ps. 73:23-28
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. strength: Heb. rock 27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Pecans in the Cemetery

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree
just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a
bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began
dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for
me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the
fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he
passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He
slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you,
one for me. One for you, one for me." He just knew what it was,
so he jumped back on his bike and rode off.

Now just around the bend he met an old man with a cane,
hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe
what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing
up the souls."

The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to
walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled to the
cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for
me. One for you, one for me..." The old man whispered, "Boy,
you've been tellin' the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord."
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence yet were still
unable to see anything.

The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the
fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the
Lord.
At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's
go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes
ahead of the boy on the bike!

After all what is worry anyway, but the opposite of faith! So, have faith and always turn your worries over to God! Then you will be able to say with confidence.....

"Why Worry About Tomorrow?"

Why worry about tomorrow
And the rising of the sun,
Of anguish over past mistakes
That cannot be undone?

Why waste life's precious moments
On things that bruise the heart
When today is ours to fashion
Into a work of art?

Today comes but once, my friend,
It never can return--
So use it wisely while you can,
There's a lesson you may learn.

Let history record the past
And tomorrow come what may.
Be content to do your best
With what you have today!

Now Peter began to sink because he took his eyes off of Jesus, and focused on the waves all around him. This was because his faith faltered. Also when you are apprehensive about your troubles, and if you doubt Christ's presence or His great ability to help; remember that He is the only one that can really help you as well!

In this busy world it is far too easy to forget all of the things that God has done for us. Often we take those blessings for granted, and sometimes we even forget to thank God for them.

It is written: THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL KEEP WITH YOU THE COVENANT AND THE MERCY WHICH HE SWORE TO YOUR FATHERS. AND HE WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU. DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

WP-Bible plugin

Therefore, never forget to thank Him for His great love, and all of the blessings that He has given to you! In fact, a great way to start each day is to spend two minutes counting all of your blessings, and then try to have only loving thoughts all day long. For when we do are hearts become merry and we are walking in God's Light, and that will make us feel even more blessed than before!

Also remember Beloved, when counting all of your blessings, to count the biggest blessing of them all, and that is having such a loving, caring Heavenly Father as we do! Amen!

When your life becomes filled with noise and confusion, and you long for a little peace in your life, turn to our Savior Jesus Christ! For He said, "THESE THINGS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE, IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." JOHN 16:33JOHN 16:33
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

Be careful of thy words

22 BELOVED, IF OUR HEART DOES NOT CONDEMN US, WE HAVE CONFIDENCE TOWARD GOD. AND WHATEVER WE ASK WE RECEIVE FROM HIM, BECAUSE WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND DO THOSE THINGS THAT ARE PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT. 1 JOHN 3:21-221 JOHN 3:21-22
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Now would you change the way that you live if you knew that God knew all of your thoughts, heard all of your words, and knew all the desires of your heart? Well, He does for it is written: THE LORD KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF MAN, THAT THEY ARE FUTILE. For He even; KNOWS THE SECRETS OF THE HEART. PSALM 94:11PSALM 94:11
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

& PSALM 44:21PSALM 44:21

21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Now when we try our best to have pure thoughts and desires and follow the Commandments put forth by God, we often get our prayers answered. For it is written: THE EFFECTIVE FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH. JAMES 5:16JAMES 5:16
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

So, when you speak be careful of the words you use, and keep them soft and sweet. For we are to always ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER AND BUILD EACH OTHER UP. Most of all, always think before you speak so that: THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE MEDITATION OF MY HEART BE ACCEPTABLE IN YOUR SIGHT, O LORD, MY STRENGTH AND MY REDEEMER. Amen! 1 THESSALONIANS 5:111 THESSALONIANS 5:11

I will always be with you, says the Lord

29 WHEN YOU PASS THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU; AND THROUGH THE RIVERS, THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE, YOU SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL THE FLAME SCORCH YOU. ISAIAH 43:2ISAIAH 43:2

There are times in our life when we find ourselves in difficult situations. Times when our faith is put to the test. We may even feel that God has abandoned us, and that we are all alone.

When you feel that way remember that it is written, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. HEBREWS 13:5HEBREWS 13:5
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

SO WE MAY BOLDLY SAY: THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME. ( HEBREWS 13:6HEBREWS 13:6
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Therefore, when you pass through the waters of difficulty, and the flames of distress, know that God is always there with you. For, THE LORD IS GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE; AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM. NAHUM 1:7NAHUM 1:7
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. strong hold: or, strength

So, always remember that you are walking, hand in hand, with your Heavenly Father when those difficult times arrive, and that He Loves You very much because you are one of His beloved children! Amen!

His Love endures forever

19 GOD WILL KEEP HIS COVENANT OF LOVE WITH YOU. HE WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU. DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: if: Heb. because 13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

Sadly, as you know this World is filled with people who feel unloved, and will do almost anything to find it. What a shame it is that they do not know God, for it is written: GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. 1 JOHN 4:161 JOHN 4:16
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

WP-Bible plugin

After all, whether they know it or not, everyone is surrounded by God's Great Love for it is like the oxygen we breathe; there is plenty of it for each of us, and still so very many are starving for it!

Why not reach out to another today, and share a little of God's love with them. After all Jesus said: "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." ( MATTHEW 19:19MATTHEW 19:19
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

) and He also said, "THIS IS MY COMMAND: LOVE EACH OTHER." JOHN 15:17JOHN 15:17
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

WP-Bible plugin

After all sharing God's Love is as simple to do as saying thank you to a store clerk, or just smiling at another and saying "How are you today!" Little acts of kindness like these go along way towards brightening up another's day, and by doing such things it brightens our day as well!

So, the next time you pray thank God for filling you with His Love, and remember to GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. Amen! PSALM 136:1PSALM 136:1
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

136 1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
