Praise to Our Heavenly Father
0
Today and every day let us sing praises to our Heavenly Father. For it is written: SING TO THE LORD A NEW SONG, AND HIS PRAISE IN THE ASSEMBLY OF SAINTS. ( PSALM 149:1 )
Therefore we: PRAISE GOD IN HIS SANCTUARY; PRAISE HIM IN HIS MIGHTY FIRMAMENT! PRAISE HIM FOR HIS MIGHTY ACTS; PRAISE HIM ACCORDING TO HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS! PRAISE HIM WITH THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET; PRAISE HIM WITH LUTE AND HARP! PRAISE HIM WITH THE TIMBREL AND DANCE; PRAISE HIM WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS AND FLUTES! PRAISE HIM WITH LOUD CYMBALS; PRAISE HIM WITH CLASHING CYMBALS! LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. ( PSALM 150:1-6 )
So, why not attend your Church today, and be part of the assembly where you may join with others as they praise our Heavenly Father! Amen.
Now may your day be filled with Peace, and with God’s Blessings as well!
The Lord Is Close To The Broken Hearted

THE LORD IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM! ( NAHUM 1:7 *NIV )
We all face troubling times in our lives from time to time. We often wish that we could escape these troubles like the pain of grief, loss, sorrow and failure; or maybe even the small daily frustrations that constantly bother us.
When you are experiencing problems like that remember that: THE LORD IS CLOSE TO THE BROKEN HEARTED AND SAVES THOSE WHO ARE CRUSHED IN SPIRIT. ( PSALM 34:18 )
After all: THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE TO THEIR CRY. ( PSALM 34:15 ) For: THE RIGHTEOUS CALL OUT, AND THE LORD HEARS THEM; HE DELIVERS THEM FROM ALL THEIR TROUBLES. ( PSALM 34:17 )
Now you may be thinking how does that apply to me, for I do not feel very righteous. Well, through Jesus Christ we have become righteous, for it is written: GOD MADE HIM WHO HAD NO SIN TO BE SIN, SO THAT IN HIM WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 ) Therefore when we repent of our sins they are not only cleansed from “The Book of Life,” we also become righteous once again as well!
So remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ, “DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED. TRUST IN GOD; TRUST ALSO IN ME.” ( JOHN 14:1 ) and let Him deliver you from all your troubles! For: A RIGHTEOUS MAN MAY HAVE MANY TROUBLES, BUT THE LORD DELIVERS HIM FROM THEM ALL. Amen! ( PSALM 34:19 )
The Book of Psalms

LET US COME BEFORE HIM WITH THANKSGIVING AND EXTOL HIM WITH MUSIC AND SONG. ( Psalm 95:2 *NIV )
Now it is written that we should SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER WITH PSALMS, HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS. SING AND MAKE MUSIC IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD. ( Ephesians 5:19-20 ) So, we will turn to the Book of Psalms. The Hebrew word for Psalm is [mizmar]. This Hebrew word is derived from the verb [zamar] which means “To Make Music.”
Therefore the Book of Psalms is the hymnal of ancient Israel. While the lyrics are preserved, the music originally written to accompany them has been lost to the ages. For only the occasional musical notations are left. For instance many are directed “To The Chief Musician,” while others call for musical accompaniment.
As an example Psalm 4 calls for stringed instruments; Psalm 5 for flutes; Psalm 6 for the eight-stringed harp; and Psalm 8 for the instrument of Gath *NKJV, or according to Gittith *NIV. It’s true meaning is unknown to us today.
You will even find that some of the Hymns that we use today were inspired by the words of a particular Psalm. Some of those Hymns are as follows:
Psalm 23 inspired:
1. The King Of Love MY Shepard Is
2. My Shepard Shall Supply My Need
3. The Lord Is My Shepard
Psalm 46 inspired:
1. A Mighty Fortress Is My God
Psalm 61 inspired:
1. Hiding In Thee ( O Safe to the Rock that is Higher
Than I )
Psalm 87 inspired:
1. Glorious Things Of Thee Are Spoken
Psalm 90 inspired:
1. O God, Our Help In Ages Past
Psalm 100 inspired:
1. All People That On Earth Do Dwell
2. Before Jehovah’s Awful Throne
Psalm 103 inspired:
1. Praise To The Lord, The Almighty
Psalm 104 inspired:
1. O Worship The King, All Glorious Above
Psalm 126 inspired:
1. Bring In The Sheaves
So the next time you sing or hear one of those beautiful Hymns, remember that it was inspired by the words of a 3,000 year old Psalm.
Have a wonderful day and may it be filled with music. Amen.

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD. ( JOSHUA 24:15 *NIV )
As a child of GOD, we are to strive to become as much like CHRIST as we can possibly be. Remember that CHRIST came as a Servant, not as a Great King, and Serving others is an important way of becoming more like JESUS!
After all our Savior JESUS CHRIST said: “FOR EVEN THE SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED BUT TO SERVE, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM FOR MANY.” ( MARK 10:45 )
Therefore we should also, BE VERY CAREFUL TO KEEP THE COMMANDMENT AND THE LAW THAT MOSES THE SERVANT OF THE LORD GAVE YOU: TO HOLD FAST TO HIM AND TO SERVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL. ( JOSHUA 22:5 )
Now, we may do that by sharing our love with each other, and by Serving our Heavenly Father as well. Some Serve GOD by teaching Sunday School, others by helping people who are in need! After all, there are many ways to Serve our Heavenly Father.
Therefore why not volunteer to help others when the need arises, SINCE YOU KNOW THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INHERITANCE FROM THE LORD AS A REWARD. IT IS THE LORD CHRIST YOU ARE SERVING. Amen. ( COLOSSIANS 3:24 )
Always put your hope and trust in God

FOR YOU ARE MY HOPE, O LORD GOD; YOU ARE MY TRUST FROM MY YOUTH. ( PSALM 71:5 *NIV )
When ever you feel stressed, worried or overwhelmed by things or people in this World, always put your hope and trust in our Heavenly Father. Have faith that He will guide you through the stumbling blocks that life has put before you! For it is written: DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. ( ISAIAH 41:10 )
Therefore never try to make decisions or to fight the battles of life alone. Always ask God in prayer for the answers. He will then, not only provide answers and guidance, but also will bless you as well, for it is written: BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM. ( JEREMIAH 17:7 )
So, make sure that you, TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, YOU PEOPLE; POUR OUT YOUR HEART BEFORE HIM; GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US. ( PSALM 62:8 )
In closing, I pray that, THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE AS YOU TRUST IN HIM, SO THAT YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Amen ( ROMANS 15:13 )
