Worry may actually shorten our life. DO NOT WORRY!
Nov 18th
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN. MATTHEW 6:34 *NIV
Now I ask you, WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD A SINGLE HOUR TO HIS LIFE? MATTHEW 6:27 In fact, some studies even show that worry may actually shorten our life!
Therefore instead of worrying CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU. 1 PETER 5:7 For then, WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID; WHEN YOU LIE DOWN YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. PROVERBS 3:24
After all what is worry anyway, but the opposite of faith! So, have faith and always turn your worries over to God! Then you will be able to say with confidence…..
“Why Worry About Tomorrow?”
Why worry about tomorrow
And the rising of the sun,
Of anguish over past mistakes
That cannot be undone?
Why waste life’s precious moments
On things that bruise the heart
When today is ours to fashion
Into a work of art?
Today comes but once, my friend,
It never can return–
So use it wisely while you can,
There’s a lesson you may learn.
Let history record the past
And tomorrow come what may.
Be content to do your best
With what you have today!

An Act of Faith
Walk by Faith not by sight.
Jul 25th
BE FAITHFUL, EVEN TO THE POINT OF DEATH, AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE CROWN OF LIFE. Revelation 2:10 *NIV
There are many times in this life when our faith is put to the test. Times that we may even feel that God has abandoned us because a prayer isn’t answered the way we want it to be. Know that it is written: THOUGH NOW FOR A LITTLE WHILE YOU MAY HAVE HAD TO SUFFER GRIEF IN ALL KINDS OF TRIALS. THESE HAVE COME SO THAT YOUR FAITH–OF GREATER WORTH THAN GOLD, WHICH PERISHES EVEN THOUGH REFINED BY FIRE–MAY PROVE GENUINE AND MAY RESULT IN PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR WHEN JESUS CHRIST IS REVEALED. 1 Peter 1:6-7
Also know that sometimes what we pray for isn’t God’s will for us thus: THIS IS THE CONFIDENCE WE HAVE IN APPROACHING GOD: THAT IF WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARS US. 1 John 5:14-15
Sometimes what we pray for would actually hurt us in the long run, and our Heavenly Father is protecting us from that. Other times we just can’t understand God’s ways for NO ONE KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF GOD EXCEPT THE SPIRIT OF GOD. 1 Corinthians 2:11
However, we do know He loves us very much, and would never abandoned us or deliberately hurt us. So we must keep our faith knowing that God is with us and that no matter what happens He is in control! Therefore it is important that WE WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT. ( 2 Corinthians 5:7 ) trusting that God knows what is best for us, even if a prayer isn’t answered the way we want it to be! Amen.
Have a wonderful day.
An Act of Obedience
Cast your bread upon the waters.
Jun 12th
CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATERS, FOR AFTER MANY DAYS YOU WILL FIND IT AGAIN. GIVE PORTIONS TO SEVEN, YES TO EIGHT, FOR YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT DISASTER MAY COME UPON THE LAND. ECCLESIASTES 11:1-2 *NIV
Many people have wondered what is meant by “Cast your bread upon the water, and you will find it.” Well, it is An old Hebrew Idiom meaning to give to charity and it will be returned to you.
After all it is written: HE WHO IS KIND TO THE POOR LENDS TO THE LORD, AND HE WILL REWARD HIM FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE. PROVERBS 19:17 This is because, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE POOR PEOPLE IN THE LAND. THEREFORE I COMMAND YOU TO BE OPENHANDED TOWARD YOUR BROTHERS AND TOWARD THE POOR AND NEEDY IN YOUR LAND. DEUTERONOMY 15:11
So, always remember those who are in need, and the homeless among us: SO THE POOR HAVE HOPE, AND INJUSTICE SHUTS ITS MOUTH. JOB 5:16 After all our Savior Jesus Christ said, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, WHAT-EVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” MATTHEW 25:40 Amen
