A Merry Heart Makes A Cheerful Countenance

0

WHEN THE MORNING STARS SANG TOGETHER, AND ALL THE SONS OF GOD SHOUTED FOR JOY. ( JOB 38:7 *NKJV )

When we count our many blessings daily, it causes us to become a positive person. We also become more cheerful and gain a sunny disposition as well.

Now it is written that: HE WHO IS OF A MERRY HEART HAS A CONTINUAL FEAST. ( PROVERBS 15:15 ) That is because A MERRY HEART MAKES A CHEERFUL COUNTENANCE, BUT BY SORROW OF THE HEART THE SPIRIT IS BROKEN. ( PROVERBS 15:13 )

So, make a daily routine of counting all of your blessings, and you will become known as:

The Soul With Sunny Heart

God bless the soul with sunny heart
Who brightens up each day
By spreading seeds of cheerfulness
While traveling on life’s way.
God bless him for the stars of hope
He sets in each one’s sky;
For the encouragement he gives
That causes folk to try…
With stronger faith to press ahead,
With courage for a mate,
And reach for goals, and build anew,
And smile and challenge fate.
God bless his laughter and his song
That drives dark clouds away
From troubled minds, and paints instead
A rosy-tinted day.
God bless the soul with sunny heart
Who’s found in life his place,
And serves his God and fellow man
With humble, gentle grace.
The world has need of such a man
Who lifts the heart from gloom,
And in life’s barren places plants
Sweet flowers of love to bloom.
He may serve as some men serve
With fame or high degree…
But his good deeds will ever shine
Throughout eternity.

Always put your hope and trust in God

0

FOR YOU ARE MY HOPE, O LORD GOD; YOU ARE MY TRUST FROM MY YOUTH. ( PSALM 71:5 *NIV )

When ever you feel stressed, worried or overwhelmed by things or people in this World, always put your hope and trust in our Heavenly Father. Have faith that He will guide you through the stumbling blocks that life has put before you! For it is written: DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. ( ISAIAH 41:10 )

Therefore never try to make decisions or to fight the battles of life alone. Always ask God in prayer for the answers. He will then, not only provide answers and guidance, but also will bless you as well, for it is written: BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM. ( JEREMIAH 17:7 )

So, make sure that you, TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, YOU PEOPLE; POUR OUT YOUR HEART BEFORE HIM; GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US. ( PSALM 62:8 )

In closing, I pray that, THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE AS YOU TRUST IN HIM, SO THAT YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Amen ( ROMANS 15:13 )

Worry Not

0

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 *NIV )

If I ask you, wouldn’t it be wonderful not to have any worries at all? That is hard to imagine isn’t it, for it seems like worry is part of this life. The part of life that causes us to lose sleep, damages our health, controls our thoughts, and causes us to lose faith in God.

Jesus Christ asked: “WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD A SINGLE HOUR TO HIS LIFE?” (MATTHEW 6:27). The answer is simple, no one! Jesus also said: “DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF.” ( MATTHEW 6:34 ).

So why not turn your worries into prayers, after all God promises to supply all of our needs anyway! Therefore there is also an added benefit when we turn our worries into prayers, for God also promises us that: WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID: WHEN YOU LIE DOWN YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. (PROVERBS 3:24)

Therefore, turn your worries into prayers and you will have sweet dreams, instead of sleepless nights! Also then you may even start to count your blessings instead of sheep as well! Amen.

What a Blessing it is to be a Child of God

22FOR WHAT PROFIT IS IT TO A MAN IF HE GAINS THE WHOLE  WORLD, AND IS HIMSELF DESTROYED OR LOST? LUKE 9:25 *NKJV

As you already know in this World today it is very easy to get caught up in our day to day life. We sometimes even seem to forget how short our human life is compared to our Eternal life! After all it is written: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? IT IS EVEN A VAPOR THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE TIME AND THEN VANISHES AWAY. ( JAMES 4:14 )

We even see around us many people that are so consumed by the power of money that they have lost sight of what is really important!  FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS A ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL, FOR WHICH SOME HAVE STRAYED FROM THE FAITH IN THEIR GREEDINESS, AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS!  1 TIMOTHY 6:10 )  For their god has become the almighty dollar, pounds, naira, but when their life is over, all of their money can not another moment buy!

As Children of God, we have better life ahead of us! One with Our Savior Jesus Christ, and a life where GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM YOUR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY. ( REVELATION 21:4 )

Therefore what a Blessing it is to be a Child of God! So the next time that you count all of your blessings, be sure to add that one as well!

Have a Wonderful Day, and  please do not forget to attend your Church next Sunday to Worship your Heavenly Father, and thank Him as well.   Amen.

Accept His offer to rescue you

0

rescueThe church’s pastor slowly stood up walked over to the pulpit and, before he gave his sermon for the evening, he briefly introduced a guest minister who was in the service that evening.

In the introduction, the pastor told the congregation that the guest minister was one of his dearest childhood friends and that he wanted him to have a few moments to greet the church and share whatever he felt would be appropriate for the service. With that, an elderly man stepped up to the pulpit and began to speak.

A father, his son, and a friend of his son were sailing off the pacific coast,’ he began.’  When a fast approaching storm blocked any attempt to get back to the shore. the waves were  so high, that even though the father was an experienced sailor, he could not keep the  boat upright and the  three were swept  into the ocean  as the boat capsized’. The old man hesitated for a moment, making eye contact with two teenagers who were, for the first time since the service began, looking somewhat interested in his story.

The aged minister continued with his story, ‘grabbing a rescue line, the father had to make the most excruciating decision of his life: to which boy would he throw the other end of the life line. He only had seconds to make the decision. The father knew that his son was a Christian and he, also, knew that his son’s friend was not. The agony of his decision could not be matched by the torrent of waves as the father yelled out, ‘I love you, son!’

He threw out the life line to his son’s friend. By the time the father had pulled the friend back to the capsized boat, his son had disappeared beneath the raging swells into the black of night. His body was never recovered. By this time, the two teenagers were sitting up straight in the pew, anxiously waiting for the next words to come out of the old minister’s mouth. ‘The father, he continued, ‘knew his son would step into eternity with Jesus and he could not bear  the thought  of  his  son’s friend  stepping  into  an eternity  without  Jesus..  Therefore, he sacrificed his son to save the son’s friend.  ‘How great is the love of god that he should do the same for us. Our heavenly father sacrificed his only begotten son that we could be saved. I urge you to accept His offer to rescue you and take a hold of the life line he is  throwing out to you in this service. With that, the old man turned and sat back down in his chair as silence filled the room.

The pastor again walked slowly to the pulpit and delivered a brief sermon with an invitation at the end. However, no one responded to the appeal. Within minutes after the service ended, the two teenagers were at the old man’s side. ‘T hat was a nice story,’ politely stated one of them’, but I don’t think it was very realistic for a father to give up his only son’s life in hopes that the other boy would become a Christian.’

Well, you’ve got a point there’, the old man replied, glancing down at his worn bible. A big smile broadened his narrow face. He once again looked up at the boys and said, ‘it sure isn’t very realistic, is it? But, I’m  standing  here  today  to tell  you  that  story  gives  me  a  glimpse  of what  it  must  have  been  like  for  god  to  give up  his  son  for  me.  You see…

I was that father and your pastor is my son’s friend.
Take 60 seconds and give this a shot. He’s waiting for you!

Have a wonderful day.
